Pet Peeve Tuesday - Underwires

Why can't they make an underwire that doesn't break? Usually they break while you are wearing them so you get to spend the rest of the day being stabbed in the ribs or armpit by the poky thing. You can't just go to the restroom and remove the underwire or you'll be lopsided the rest of the day. If you take both underwires out then you might as well be wearing a sports bra at best or an undershirt at worst.

They are putting fences made of wire in the medians of interstates that will, in case of an accident, keep a semi from crossing into oncoming traffic ( a very good thing) but they can't make an underwire that can withstand regular wear and/or a washing machine...

Ah yes, the underwire. I have given up putting them in the washing machine. I actually hand wash them. They certainly last longer that way.

Thanks for particpating.

So true, but you forgot the actual cuts you get when they break in the middle. Remember that 1/2 inch bleeding gouge I got when mine broke in the middle of teaching a class & I couldn't go fix it for a while?

I do remember that! They can make "unbreakable" cups for drinks so why can't they make unbreakable under"somethings" for the other kind of cups?
