Sweet catch, Deb! That's called a sun dog. I saw my first one last month, but you can expect to see more if you keep your eyes to the skies, like we do for our SkyWatch photos. :-)
Wow … these are 3 marvelous photos of an most unusual sky … well worth taking time to ‘embiggen’ for a better view! Thanks for sharing ;--)
I’ve published on both blogs this morning – SkyWatch/Haiku Friday at Sacred Ruminations and another HF post (in which I ‘reflect’ upon my upcoming Blogoversary) at Small Reflections containing a ‘Fall Thank You’ for all … just because. Hugs and blessings,
Hi Debbie, thank you for these pretty pictures. I do like the one with what you call rainbow-like light. Happy SkyWatching, thank you for peeking at my clear blue sky through the 'orange' tree. ..
Love the fir tree in the first shot so nicely baancing the light on the left. That speck of light in the sky in the last one is also an unexpected bonus.

Wow that light effect is something - great you could capture it!
Nice pics! I don't think we stop to smell the roses or look up at the sky enough! Thanks for sharing and reminding us to slow down :)
